Backed a 60-foot bucket truck into a low branch about 2 months ago
I was working a job on a tight residential street in Arlington and had to maneuver around a parked car. Thought I cleared a big oak limb but misjudged by about 6 inches. The branch punched right through the rear window of the truck cab, cost me $850 to replace. The homeowner stood there watching the whole thing, didn't say a word till I was done cleaning up glass. Anyone else had a close call with tree clearance they didn't see coming?

The homeowner probably thought it was your fault so didn't say anything.

Feel for you man, that's a sickening crunch to hear. @verafoster nailed it, the homeowner probably just stood there thinking it was your problem not theirs. I had a branch take out my side mirror on a narrow street in DC once, just a split second of bad luck and I was out $300 and an afternoon of frustration. That glass bill stings for sure, but at least it wasn't worse like a busted windshield or a limb through the roof.
