Took a call for a fridge not cooling, found a full bag of frozen peas blocking the condenser fan.

Customer said it had been getting warmer for about two weeks. I was expecting the usual suspects, maybe a bad start relay or a sealed system issue. Pulled it out, took off the back panel, and there was this rock-hard bag of peas jammed right into the fan blades. Must have fallen off the top shelf in the freezer. Cleared it out, unit fired right up. I've seen toys and boxes back there, but never groceries. It's a good reminder to always check for the simple, physical blockages first, even when the symptoms point to something more complex. What's the weirdest thing you've found blocking an airflow path?

Peas are a new one for me. The weirdest blockage I ever pulled out was a petrified slice of pizza. It proves you really can't guess what's fallen down the back of an appliance.

Wait, a petrified pizza slice beats peas? @hannah_wright, I feel like food that old becomes a science project, not just a blockage. What did it even smell like?

Actually, a petrified pizza slice isn't really a science project. It's just super dried out and hard, like a weird cracker. The smell is mostly gone at that point, just dusty. It's more about the weird shape getting stuck than any gross liquid. So what's the strangest shape you've found jammed in something?
