TIL that using CRC contact cleaner on a dryer control board can actually fix it

A guy on YouTube named Mark said to spray CRC QD Electronic Cleaner on the board of my 7 year old Whirlpool dryer that kept stopping mid cycle. I was skeptical because I thought it needed a new $90 control board. But after I pulled the board out and hit the relay contacts with it, waited 5 minutes, and put it back in the dryer has run fine for 2 weeks now. Has anyone else tried this on other appliances instead of jumping straight to a full part swap?

Wondered if this would work on a fridge control board too since mine keeps acting up but it's an older model. Might save me a hundred bucks if the relay contacts are the same issue.

Hold on @amyh21, I gotta push back on that since fridge control boards usually have a lot more sensitive electronics than a simple AC contactor relay. The failing part on those older fridges is often a bad capacitor or a fried voltage regulator, not a burnt up relay contact. Have you checked for any bulging capacitors on the board before you go buying parts for a problem that might not be the relay?
