That Friday where three Bosch dishwashers all had the same blown thermal fuse
Three calls in one day, three different houses, all Bosch dishwashers from the same year with the exact same thermal fuse blown. Has anyone else run into a weird pattern like that where a specific part fails on the same model across multiple houses in a short span?

Wait hold on a sec. I think you might be mixing up the year or the model line a bit. The thermal fuse issue you're describing was actually more common on the Bosch 500 and 800 series from around 2018 to 2020, not just one single year. I've seen those fuses blow on those models way more often than on the older ones from like 2015 or 2016. The newer ones have a different design for the heating element that doesn't put as much strain on the fuse. It's possible you were looking at three units that were all from the same production batch or something, but the problem is more spread out across several years than you're making it sound. Just a small detail but it changes how you'd look for replacement parts.

Wait, hold up. That changes everything if the fuse issue actually spans three model years. I had no idea it was that spread out. @fiona_lane, are you sure about the 2018 to 2020 thing? I've only ever seen the blown fuses on the 2015 and 2016 machines, so I figured it was a one-off bad batch. The newer heating element design you're talking about must be the key difference because those older units definitely had that strain problem. If you're right, then I've been telling people the wrong info about which replacement fuses to grab. This is making me rethink my whole stock of spare parts for those Bosch units.
