Got cursed out by a customer in Cleveland last month for a fridge ice maker I didn't install

Took me 30 minutes to walk her through the water line shutoff over the phone and she still called my boss calling me incompetent, so now I take a picture of the shutoff valve before touching anything on the job has anyone else started covering their tracks like this?

Man that sucks lol, I've been burned similar before and now I document everything with photos too before I even pull out a tool.

Oh dude @robert_smith36 you are so right lol. I had a landlord try to hold my deposit for "pre-existing scratches" on a floor I documented with video before I even moved in. The timestamped photos saved me like 800 bucks. Now I also take pics of the serial numbers on appliances too, just in case they try to say I swapped something out.
