Finally stopped fighting flex hoses on dryers, took me 14 years to get it right

Tbh I used to wrestle with those metal flex vent hoses on every dryer install. I would spend 20 minutes trying to get the clamp on straight and still end up with a kink. Last month I switched to cutting the hose with aviation snips instead of trying to bend it into place. Now I measure twice, cut once, and use a short rigid connector between the dryer and the wall. Whole job takes me 8 minutes now instead of half an hour. Has anyone else found a simpler trick for tight laundry rooms?
