Can we talk about the time I flooded a customer's kitchen over a $4 part?
Picture this: I was in a little condo over in Beaverton on a Tuesday night, doing a simple fix on a dishwasher that wouldn't drain, and I forgot to check the disposal plug after swapping the drain hose. Ran the cycle, walked away for a minute, and came back to water pooling across the whole floor. I flipped the breaker, grabbed every towel in my van, and spent the next 40 minutes mopping and re-seating that hose with a fresh clamp. Customer came home while I was still on my knees, and honestly she was nicer about it than I would've been. That old-timer lesson about always pulling the disposal knockout first is the one I wish someone had drilled into my head sooner. Anyone else still make rookie calls like that even after doing this for a while?
