Can we talk about the sheer number of Samsung ice maker calls?
I was looking at my service tickets from the past year and 22% of them were for Samsung refrigerator ice makers. Found that stat in my own invoicing software. Anyone else seeing this specific model line dominate their schedule?

Tell customers to run the ice maker test mode first, it's in the manual. That catches a lot of the easy stuff like a frozen fill tube before you even roll a truck. I keep a couple of the common auger motors and thermistors on my van now because it's always one of those two parts failing. The plastic housing cracks over time too, so always check for hairline fractures that cause air leaks.

@nina_harris39 yeah I read that same article and it described exactly what I ran into last month. Customer's ice maker barely worked and sure enough the auger motor was dead and the plastic housing had a tiny crack letting air in. Replaced both and it's been fine ever since.
