Am I the only one who hit 30 years in this trade and still gets surprised when a 1978 Maytag outlasts everything
I was doing paperwork last month and realized I've been turning wrenches on appliances since 1995, and the machines I worked on back then are still running while the new stuff quits after 3 years. My old boss in Toledo used to say they don't build them like they used to, and now I finally get what he meant.
