A customer showed me a photo of my own work and made me change how I wire dishwashers

A customer showing a picture of your own work and making you redo it... that's just doing your job right though. If the install isn't up to code or the manufacturer's spec then it doesn't matter whose picture it is, it needs to be fixed. Dishwasher wiring is a safety thing, not a pride thing.

and that's exactly what I was thinking when I read this, @butler.abby. I had a similar thing happen a few years back where a homeowner pulled up a photo from one of my own previous jobs and showed me that I'd changed the way I was running the drain line. It stung for a minute, but honestly, I realized they were right. The newer code had stricter rules about the loop height and I was just going off muscle memory from an older spec. I ended up redoing it and thanking them for catching it. It was a good reminder that we all slip into bad habits sometimes, and it doesn't hurt to be checked on your own work.
