Rant: my mom swore a bread crumb layer kills the smell, and now my kitchen smells like a bakery dumpster
She did this in her Detroit apartment back in March and claimed zero smell, so I layered crumbs in my bokashi bin and by day 4 it smelled like sour bread and rot mixed together. Was she doing something extra I missed, or is the crumb thing just a myth?
