PSA: My bokashi bin just ate a whole lemon, rind and all
Honestly, I was reading a gardening blog from Seattle and it said bokashi can ferment citrus peels, which blew my mind because I thought that was a big no-no. Tbh, I tossed a whole old lemon in there last Tuesday and it just vanished into the pickled mush with zero bad smell. Has anyone else tried composting weird stuff like that with their bokashi system?

Okay but what if it's the specific microbes in your bran? Like maybe you got a super strain that just loves acid.

Yeah, @brian45 might be onto something with the super strain idea. Honestly, just keep an eye on your bin's smell and you're probably fine.
