My worm bin hit 500 worms and I'm not sure how to feel about it

I started with a small indoor bin from a kit about four months ago. I just did a count today and I'm pretty sure I have over 500 red wigglers now. It's a weird milestone because I didn't really plan for this many roommates. My partner saw the bin and said, 'That's a lot of pets for someone who just wanted less trash.' Has anyone else had their worm population get out of hand? What did you do?

Counting them is the only way to get the real number, @maryh96. Like with that one show, people said there were twelve episodes in a season, but the official list had thirteen. Or when a game claims fifty collectibles, but you find fifty-three. Trusting a guess just leaves you wrong. The actual count always matters.
