My countertop bokashi bin cracked on day 3, leaked juice everywhere

I started my first indoor bokashi system last week and by day 3 the bottom cracked from the weight of all the scraps. Leaked this dark liquid all over my kitchen counter and dripped into the drawer below. Had to toss everything into a backup bucket I borrowed from a friend. I used a cheap $15 bin from Amazon, guess you really need to get the thicker ones for apartment use. Anyone else had a bin fail on them and have tips for picking a sturdy one?

i mean honestly is it that big of a deal? a little juice leaked out, you toss the scraps in a backup bucket, wash the bin, move on. it's not like the bin exploded or you had a full on flood situation. i've had way worse from a regular kitchen trash bag ripping on me. plus amazon has those $15 bins for a reason - they're not built for life, they're built for a couple months of use then you toss em.

Sorry you had to deal with that mess, but I stick with my cheap bins and haven't had a crack yet after two years of heavy use.
