Just realized my old coffee can worm bin is way better than the fancy one I bought
I was sure the $80 plastic tumbler was the answer, but after 6 months, my free setup with holes poked in the lid and shredded junk mail works faster with zero smell. Anyone else find the simple way just works better in a small space?

Honestly, it's the same with so many things. We get sold on the idea that a new product will solve all our problems. My fanciest compost bin just sits there while a simple bucket with a lid does the real work. Sometimes the best tools are the ones you already have and don't cost a thing. All that plastic and marketing just complicates a simple process.

@adam_nguyen7 knows the struggle, we all get baited by shiny marketing junk and then the cheap thing we already had works better lol.

See this happen with kitchen gadgets all the time, buying stuff we never really need.
