I thought the $12 charcoal filter for my Bokashi bin was a scam, and 6 weeks in I owe it an apology
I set up my first Bokashi bin in my 400 square foot studio near Logan Square and almost skipped the $12 replacement filter because the whole thing felt like an upsell. Six weeks later the bin with the fresh filter smells like nothing while the one I rigged with a cut up coffee filter started smelling like pickles and old bread by week three. Did anyone else have to learn this the hard way or am I the only one who tried to outsmart a filter?
