Why does nobody talk about how dubbing changed my whole anime experience?

I used to watch everything subbed for years because I thought it was more authentic, but last month I gave a dubbed show a shot on a whim and now I actually pay more attention to the animation now. Has anyone else made the switch and felt like they caught totally different details in the show?

I tried dubbing for the first time with Attack on Titan and suddenly realized the whole time I thought Levi was just grumpy I'd been missing all the hilarious sarcastic remarks. My favorite was when he told Eren "I've seen your cleaning skills, they're worse than a blind horse" and I laughed so hard I choked on my tea. Before that I was so focused on reading subtitles I completely missed the little doodles in the corner of the classroom in My Hero Academia. It feels kind of embarrassing that it took me this long to try it but hey, better late than never. Did you have a specific show that finally convinced you to give dubbing a real chance?

Three episodes of Cowboy Bebop subbed made me appreciate the original voice cast's timing way more than any dub could.
