Wasted $75 on a mystery anime box from a con in San Jose and got 3 dupes of the same season
Bought one of those blind box bundles at the dealer hall last month thinking I'd get some variety. Ended up with three copies of the same show's season 1 and a keychain I already had, so $75 basically vanished. Anyone else get burned by these con mystery boxes, or did I just pick the worst booth in the hall?

Sounds like a you problem, not the booth's fault. Mystery boxes are a gamble by design, and if you don't ask the vendor what's inside or check if they allow trades, that's on you, not them. A $75 lesson in reading the fine print beats blaming some random seller in San Jose.
