Took me 40 episodes into One Piece to realize I was watching filler arcs on purpose.
Was skipping openings and endings so fast to get through the story that I didn't notice the arc numbers didn't match the episode list online - how do you guys handle filler vs cannon, do you skip it all or watch everything?

Started watching Naruto back in the day and made it to episode 80 before I realized I'd been watching nothing but filler for like 30 episodes. I thought I was just being super dedicated to the story but turns out I was just really good at ignoring plot holes. Now I just look up the filler list before starting any long anime and skip the whole thing. Life's too short to watch a ninja training arc that goes nowhere.

Whoa wait, you made it through 30 episodes before you caught on? Man, @mark_cooper, I gotta hand it to you, that's some next level patience because I would've checked out by episode 5 of any ninja training arc that was clearly going nowhere. In my experience, that filler list is a lifesaver, I use it for everything now and I swear it cuts my watch time in half.
