The local anime club ghosted me after I helped fund their projector
Three months ago I kicked in $40 towards a new projector for our Saturday night screenings. Then last month they announced they were moving to a different venue and never mentioned my contribution once. I reached out to the organizer, who said they'd 'figure something out,' but now it's been three weeks of silence. Honestly, I just want to know if anyone else has dealt with a group that took your money and then disappeared on you.

That's a rough situation. Feels like they used your kindness and then just bounced without a second thought. You'd think forty bucks would at least get you a straight answer.
