Started watching anime on my phone during lunch breaks and it totally changed how I pick shows now

I used to only watch new anime sitting at my desk at home, but last month I started using Crunchyroll on my phone during my 30 minute lunch at work. I tried out 'Skip and Loafer' on a whim since it's only 12 episodes and lighthearted, and I actually finished the whole thing in a week. Honestly I think the shorter format made me pay more attention because I wasn't distracted by my second monitor. Has anyone else had a totally different experience watching anime on a smaller screen vs a big setup?

Not really sure why watching on a smaller screen would make you pay more attention though. A phones the same as any other screen, you're just not distracted by your second monitor. Sounds like the show was just good enough to hold your interest.

Oh totally get what you're saying! I actually used to think the exact same way honestly. But I tried it with a couple shows on my phone while laying in bed and something clicked. When you don't have the option to glance at a second screen or tab away, your brain just locks in on that one tiny rectangle. It's weird but it works. With a laptop or TV there's always that urge to check something else or have it playing in the background. On my phone I'm committed because I have to hold it or prop it up just right. The show I watched was good but not like mindblowingly amazing, I just couldn't multitask out of it.
