Showerthought: subs beat dubs for me after I turned off the subtitles for one episode
I always watched dubs because reading while watching felt like work, but a buddy in Sacramento dared me to try Demon Slayer subbed and I got hooked by episode 3. Turns out the voice acting in the original does way more heavy lifting than I gave it credit for. Anyone else switch sides after watching both versions of the same show?

That "reading while watching felt like work" line hits home. I was the same way for years, dubs all day. Then I watched one show both ways and the sub version just felt more real to me too.
