Serious warning, I tried to watch the new 'Isekai Chronicles' anime at 2x speed to catch up and it completely ruined the emotional scenes.

I was 8 episodes behind because of work. I figured I could just speed through it on the streaming site. The action parts were fine, but when the main character had that big moment with his sister in episode 7, the sped-up voices just sounded like chipmunks having a panic attack. I felt nothing. It made the whole plot twist feel cheap. Has anyone else messed up a show by binging it wrong? What's a better way to catch up without killing the vibe?

chipmunks having a panic attack" is a perfect way to put it, i've totally done that with podcasts.

Chipmunks having a panic attack" is spot on. Speed watching drama is a total vibe killer. Just watch one normal episode a night, it's not a race.
