Rant: Had to pick between subbed and dubbed for a 3 hour movie last night
I finally sat down to watch that new Ghost in the Shell movie on Crunchyroll and got stuck in the settings menu for 10 minutes. I usually go subbed to keep it authentic but my wife fell asleep before the first scene and I had to read the subtitles alone. Ended up switching to the English dub halfway through the first act and it felt wrong at first but I got used to it by the end. Still felt like I missed some of the voice acting emotion though... anyone else have a show they can only watch one way?

Oh man, I used to be a hardcore sub-only person myself. But then I watched Cowboy Bebop dubbed and honestly it just clicked better for me with the action scenes. Now I figure it's about what makes the experience good for you, not some rule.
