My Crunchyroll watch list hit 500 shows and I had to stop and think

I was just adding a new seasonal show when the counter rolled over, and it hit me that I've been logging every single thing for almost a decade. It's a weird mix of pride and a reality check on how much time that really is. Has anyone else hit a personal anime number that made them pause?

My MyAnimeList "completed" list is at 873. I had the same moment last year when I saw it, and my first thought was "I could have learned a real skill with that time, like juggling.

873 shows is a serious commitment to the art form. You basically got a PhD in anime without the student loans.

Honestly, that PhD line is perfect. Makes me wonder what my own thesis title would be, probably something like "A Study in Isekai Tropes and Snack Choices.
