My brother said he skips filler episodes, but I finally tried watching them all for Naruto

He argued they're just padding, but I watched the 'Gotta See! Gotta Know! Kakashi-Sensei's True Face!' arc last week and it actually added some fun character moments. Anyone else find value in the filler people tell you to skip?

Honestly, that Kakashi face arc is a perfect example. Some filler is just silly fun that gives the main cast room to breathe. I'd say skim a list and try the ones that sound like character episodes, skip the endless random ninja mission ones. You find a few gems that way.

My cousin works at a car plant and he told me last month how they have these mandatory safety meetings that are basically filler, but once in a while they'll bring in a guy who actually worked on a crash test or something and those talks are genuinely interesting. It's the same with anime filler I guess. You gotta sit through ten boring mission episodes about delivering a scroll or whatever before you get that one where Choji gets his backstory or Rock Lee drops the weights. Life is mostly waiting around for the good stuff anyway.
