Just found out the same voice actor did two of my favorite characters
Was looking up cast lists for a show I'm rewatching last night. Turns out the guy who voices Goku in the English dub also did the voice for that green guy in my other favorite series. Never would have caught it on my own. Weird how your brain just accepts voices as different people. Anyone else ever have that moment where they looked up a VA and got blindsided?

Man that happened to me with the guy who voices SpongeBob and also does some minor characters in Adventure Time. It completely blew my mind when I recognized one voice in a totally different context. The brain just files voices away without really thinking about it until something makes you stop and connect the dots.

That line about "the brain just files voices away" is spot on @smith.ray. Same thing happened to me with the guy who does vocals for the Pokemon theme song and a bunch of Digimon music. I was listening to some random 90s pop punk band and heard that same voice and just froze mid sentence. It's wild how your ear can pick up on something before your brain even has time to react. Makes me wonder how many other voices I've heard without actually noticing it.

Blows my mind how voice actors can completely shift their range and I still wont catch it. Steve Blum is in basically everything Ive ever watched and I only know his voice when its doing that gravelly thing
