I thought the hype around 'Bocchi the Rock!' was just for the memes

Finally watched it after seeing clips for months, and the way it shows social anxiety is actually super relatable. The scene where she imagines herself as a pile of goo after a simple conversation nailed it. Anyone else have a show they wrote off that actually surprised you?

Yeah, I did that with Mob Psycho 100. Kept seeing the weird art style and skipped it for years. Finally gave it a shot and the whole message about self worth hit me way harder than I expected, especially the stuff with Reigen.

Funny how a show with a psychic middle schooler ends up being one of the most grounded things about adult relationships and growth. That goo scene is basically depression given form, and Reigen having to face it makes him more real than half the live action characters out there.
