Guy at an anime con in Chicago changed how I watch dubs vs subs

I was standing in line for a panel at Anime Central last year when this guy behind me said he watches every new show dubbed first because he likes to catch background art. He told me he rewatches subbed later for the voice acting. Has anyone else tried this method, or am I missing something?

Huh, that's an interesting take but I don't think you're missing anything... rewatching episodes just for art seems like a lot of time when you could just watch subbed first and pause on the good backgrounds.

Yeah totally, I've done that too, pausing every two seconds gets old fast though...

@mason847 I get that but pausing subs is my whole life right now. Honestly I think trying both ways just gives you an excuse to watch good shows twice.
