Appreciation post: My anime discussion group just finished our first watch-along

We started a small online group to watch and talk about classic anime. We just finished our first series, and everyone had fun discussing it. What are some good shows for a group watch next?

Oh that's awesome! For a next group watch, go for something with big plot turns to debate. We had great talks about Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Death Note is another solid pick because of the mind games, or Cowboy Bebop for its episode-by-episode stories.

Ngl Death Note is kinda overrated for group watches. The first half is amazing mind games but it really drags after a certain big event. Honestly the debates just turn into everyone arguing about whether the new characters are annoying, which gets old fast. Brotherhood is the perfect pick though, everyone stays hooked the whole way.

Yeah, @ward.jason nailed it with Brotherhood for group watches. The plot moves quick with huge twists that keep everyone invested, and the characters stay solid the whole time. It really avoids that slowdown that loses people halfway through.
