Wrote off the Sandia tram for years as a tourist trap, rode it up yesterday and had to admit I was wrong
I live 15 minutes from the base and always figured the tram was just for out of town guests, so I never went up in 9 years here. Yesterday my cousin dragged me on it and at the top I noticed the city looks completely flat and spread out from 10,000 feet, which I never really pictured living down in the valley. Also caught a clear view of the Rio Grande curving past the cottonwoods and it finally made sense why people fight over ditch rights out here. Anyone know if the sunset ride is worth the extra $10 or is that just hype too?
