Vent: Driving to Santa Fe on I-25 beats taking the Rail Runner every single time

After three months of trying the Rail Runner to avoid traffic, I drove to Santa Fe last Tuesday at 7 AM and made it in 55 minutes, but the train took 80 minutes plus a 15 minute bus ride on the other end, so why do we keep paying for this service when the roads are faster and cheaper at $4.50 in gas versus $8.00 for a ticket?
