Three years in the heights and my morning commute got 20 minutes worse

I moved to the UNM area back in 2022 thinking I'd be close to everything, and I still love my place, but lately I swear the traffic on Lomas around 8 AM has doubled. Last week I left at 7:40 for a meeting downtown and sat through three light cycles at the San Mateo intersection, something that used to take me 5 minutes now takes 15. I even tried switching to Central one day and got caught behind a bus that stopped at every single stop for six blocks, that was a mistake. What gets me is the city keeps adding those bus-only lanes but I never see the buses actually full, just more cars squeezed into fewer lanes. Has anyone else noticed how much worse the stretch between Carlisle and Eubank has gotten since the new apartments went in, or is it just my bad luck with timing?
