Ristra peppers in September turned my whole kitchen toxic

Hung a 30 inch ristra on my portal for the Balloon Fiesta and the heat made the chiles sweat some kind of resin that gave me a headache for two days. Had to take it down and dry them in the garage with a fan instead. Anyone else fight with ristra season timing or am I just cursed?

Aw man, that sucks... but the headache probably wasnt the chiles themselves. Its more about the resin getting in the air when they get too warm, so the fan drying thing was probably the right move. Fiesta timing just makes it a game of roulette every year, ha.
