I finally stopped going to the Santa Fe farmer's market and started shopping at the Downtown Growers Market instead

I used to drive all the way up to Santa Fe every Saturday morning for years. It's like a 50 minute drive each way and I'd spend like $80 on stuff I could probably find closer. About 6 months ago I gave the Downtown Growers Market a shot on a Sunday and honestly the produce is just as good and way cheaper. Plus I don't have to deal with parking in Santa Fe which is a nightmare. What's your go to market in ABQ?

Downtown Growers Market is solid, but have you tried the one at the Rail Yards? They have this guy who brings in mesclun mix that’s way better than anything I’ve found at the other markets, and he’s usually there until noon. What kind of stuff are you buying that keeps you going back to Downtown Growers over the others?

Yeah @holly_green82, the Rail Yards market is great. I found that same mesclun guy last month and his arugula blew me away, way spicier and fresher than what I get at Downtown Growers. Most of my Downtown runs are for the tamale lady near the south entrance, she's been there for years and her green chile and cheese ones are worth the trip alone. I still hit both markets depending on what I need, but the Rail Yards produce selection edges it out for greens and herbs.
