I finally made it to the Balloon Fiesta after living here for 8 years
Always figured I'd get around to it, but kept putting it off. Went last Saturday morning at like 5am and honestly it was wild seeing so many balloons lift off at once. The whole field smelled like propane and breakfast burritos, which is basically Albuquerque in a nutshell. Has anyone else been sleeping on this for years like I did?

People overhype it so much lol. I went once and honestly the traffic was a nightmare and it took forever to get out of the parking lot. Not worth the early morning for me.

Oh wow, really? I've been thinking about trying it out but the whole parking situation has me second-guessing... What time did you actually get there vs. what time you left?
