Am I the only one who waited 3 tries to get a sandia crest parking spot on a Saturday?

Took me 3 trips up to Sandia Crest before I figured out you have to be at the lot by 7:15am on weekends or you're circling. Got a spot at 7:10 this past Saturday and felt like I won the lottery, watched cars pull in at 8 and just keep driving. Is there some other lot people use or am I just stubborn about the top one?
