TIL a pair of Harbor Freight pliers resolved a panic in a crawl space in Dayton
I was installing a motion sensor under a floor joist when my crimper slipped and bent a contact pin on the control panel. It was 4pm on a Friday and the homeowner needed the system live before their night shift. I had no spare panel in the van, so I grabbed a set of needle nose pliers from my backup bag and carefully bent the pin back with a steady hand. It fired up on the first test, and I learned to always carry a cheap spare crimper even if it feels redundant. Has anyone else fixed a delicate board issue with basic tools instead of waiting for a replacement part?
