Swapped out old-school keypads for app-based panels on my last 3 installs in Phoenix and it changed how I route wiring

I used to run 4-conductor for every zone back when we did wired keypads, but now I just pull a single Cat6 and let the panel talk to the cloud, has anyone else had trouble getting older customers to trust the app instead of a physical keypad?

Left a dummy keypad mounted to make them feel better.

Solidarity all the way. The dummy keypad trick from @evab52 is pretty genius, I've seen people do fake decora switch plates too just to keep the visual habit. My big issue is always the alarm company support calls, old customers panic when the app logo changes or they forget the password. Had one guy in Sun City who refused to even download the app, so I taped a QR code to his fridge and told him his grandson could scan it. Still got an earful when he had to type in a new password after a router reset.
