Rant: False alarm from a squirrel tripping my motion sensor, customer blamed me

Set up a new panel in a house near Phoenix last Thursday with the motion sensor in the living room. Everything passed the walk test fine, but at 3am the customer calls saying the alarm went off for no reason. Drove out there the next day, checked the logs, then noticed the sensor was aimed right at the big window. Turns out a squirrel jumped on the sill and set it off. I learned my lesson, now I always check the line of sight to windows before mounting. Has anyone else dealt with animal triggered false alarms and how did you fix it without moving the whole sensor?
