Ran Cat6 behind baseboards for 3 houses until a sparky showed me the wiremold trick
Last month I was on a job in Phoenix running sensor wires for a new security system. Guy had textured walls and I was dreading fishing cable. The electrician on site handed me a piece of wiremold and said just stick it on. I laughed. But after watching him do one run in 4 minutes versus my 20 minute ordeal, I switched. Now I keep a few sticks in the truck. Has anyone else had luck with surface raceway for wireless transition zones or do you still fish everything?

Ever tried paintable wiremold? Hides way better on textured walls.

I'd try it but my DIY skills make duct tape look like a professional installation.
