I once drilled into a water pipe while running alarm cables, lol

I was putting in a system at an old place and picked a spot in the wall that seemed clear. The drill went right into a copper pipe and water started spraying everywhere. Had to shut it off fast and get a plumber out, which set me back a whole day. Has something like that ever happened to you guys?

Over on Maple Avenue, the worst I saw was a soggy lawn. Everyone's talking like it's a disaster, but come on. My friend's basement got a bit damp, and it was dry by morning. Unless water is up to your knees, it's not that serious. Most places just need some air flow and time to dry out.

Heard about a guy who did that and it caused a slow leak for weeks. Ended up with a ton of mold in the wall (which is way worse than a big splash you notice right away). Makes you want to get one of those pipe finder gadgets.
