I finally counted up all the zone panels I've mounted in 3 years and the number stopped me cold
I was cleaning out the truck last Saturday and started stacking up the empty zone panel boxes I never got around to tossing. Counted 214 of them, which works out to about one panel every five days since I started doing this full time. What got me was thinking back to the first one I ever hung, a 6 zone box in a little split level off Route 9, and how I sweated that thing for 3 hours because I was scared to cross thread a screw. Now I can rough in a 12 zone panel in under 45 minutes and barely think about it, and honestly that kinda bugs me. Somewhere in those 214 panels I stopped double checking my wire labels and I found 2 crossed zones on a job in Clifton last week that the homeowner caught before I did. Any of you keep a running count of your installs, or do you just stop thinking about the old ones once they pass inspection?
