Heard a customer in Dallas say they'd never pay for monitoring after a DIY install, which made me think about our value.

What's your best pitch when someone thinks the hardware is the only thing they're buying?

Picture the hardware just sitting there while you're on vacation. The real buy is the person who calls the cops when the glass breaks, who tells the fire department your exact address while you're asleep. That sensor is a dumb piece of plastic without the team watching it 24/7. You're paying for the reaction, not just the beep.

Totally agree with @hannah_wright. My buddy's system went off last year and the monitoring center called him first. He was on a hike, no service. They sent the cops right to his house while he was totally out of touch. That plastic box saved his stuff because someone was watching.
