Had a nightmare week of false alarms from a single bad wireless contact sensor
Three calls from the same customer in Portland before I finally swapped out the sensor and the backup battery was reading 3.1 volts instead of 3.3, has anyone else had those Honeywell 5800 series units go flaky right at the wire?

Oh man, "three calls from the same customer" really got me. I had a similar thing happen with a Honeywell 5800 a few months back. The voltage thing you mentioned is EXACTLY what I saw too. It was reading 3.09 volts on the multimeter and the thing would send false alarms every 12 hours like clockwork. But here's the weird part - I replaced the battery and it still acted up. Ended up being a tiny crack in the plastic housing letting moisture in. Had to swap the whole sensor out anyway. Those 5800s are solid until they just AIN'T, you know?

Honestly @jesse_craig26, moisture cracks are the worst. Ngl, those 5800s are tanks until humidity sneaks in.
