Chose a keypad over a touchscreen for a 90 year old customer and it saved me a callback
Last month I was doing a panel swap for a nice older lady in Fairview, and I had to pick between a fancy touchscreen keypad and a basic push button one. The touchscreen looked great on paper, but she had shaky hands and I could just picture her missing the code three times and setting off the siren at 2am. So I went with the old school buttons, the kind with the big raised numbers you can feel in the dark. She called me two days later just to say thank you, which almost never happens. My helper still gives me a hard time about not being modern, but I would rather sleep at night. Now I am second guessing myself on a 40 something guy next week who wants the touchscreen. Do you all go by the customer's age and eyesight or just install what they ask for?
