Best bet: hardwired or wireless sensors for a house with thick concrete walls?

Ngl I'm doing a job next week on a 1960s ranch house with 8 inch poured concrete walls. I've only ever done wireless stuff but I'm worried the signal won't punch through that thick. Buddy told me to just go hardwired but that means drilling and fishing wires through concrete which sounds like a nightmare. Has anyone here dealt with this on a retrofit and which way did you go? Curious if the extra labor on hardwired is worth it over dealing with dead zones on wireless.

Man, that's a tough spot to be in. Really feel for you having to deal with those concrete walls on a retrofit.

Yeah I used to think there had to be a way to work around it, but after seeing a few jobs like this I've come around. That concrete just doesn't give you many options at all.
