A home owner in Alexandria told me my panel placement was ugly and it made me rethink my whole layout approach

He said it looked like a spiderweb in his laundry room so now I hide all my wiring behind a false panel or in the ceiling before I even touch the keypad, anyone else get complaints about looks over function?

Spiderweb" is harsh but he's not totally wrong... I started hiding everything behind a false panel too and it's way less drama.

False paneling saved me way more hassle than I expected. Took one job where the guy kept complaining about wires showing behind the fridge, so I started running everything through the ceiling before the keypad even goes in. Now I just drop a single cable down behind the panel and call it done. Makes the whole thing look cleaner and customers stop asking questions about the back of the box. Honestly it added maybe 20 minutes to my install time but cut my callbacks in half.
