Why does nobody talk about checking the safety wire on the fuel pump drive coupling?
I was doing a 500 hour inspection on a Cessna 172 last month and the engine ran rough after I put it back together. My boss came over, looked at the pump for about 30 seconds, and said 'your lockwire is backwards, it's letting the coupling nut walk.' I had been twisting it the wrong direction for two years, which put force on the wrong side. Has anyone else had a specific part that always trips them up on the wire direction?

Reminds me of a guy who cross-threaded a drain plug so bad we had to helicoil it, classic @the_lucas move.
