Unpopular opinion: slow weeks like the one I just had at the hangar are when I do my best work
Last week we had 3 planes in the hangar instead of the usual 9, and I finally tracked down a chafed wire bundle on a Cessna 172 that had been causing an intermittent radio squawk for 2 months, all because I had time to actually trace it instead of just swapping parts. Everybody complains when the schedule thins out, but I got more real fixes done in 4 days than I did all of June. What do you all do with the downtime, knock out squawks or just clock out early?
